Rags & Bert’s, a leading Dog Hotel and Doggy Daycare based in Reading, is proud to
announce that it has once again been shortlisted as a Finalist for Kennel of the Year at the
prestigious Pet Industry Federation (PIF) Awards 2025.
This marks the third consecutive year that Rags & Bert’s has been recognised in this highly competitive category — a remarkable achievement that reflects the team’s unwavering
commitment to excellence in dog care.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be named a finalist again,” said Julia Gorman, Owner of Rags
& Bert’s. “To be recognised three years in a row is a real testament to the high standards
we work so hard to maintain. Our team is passionate about creating a safe, loving, and
enriching environment for every dog that stays with us.”

The PIF Awards celebrate the very best in the UK pet industry, from innovation and
sustainability to outstanding service. With a record number of entries this year and an
exceptionally high standard of competition, being shortlisted is a significant honour.
The winners will be announced at a black-tie gala on Thursday 6 November held in Stoke on
Trent, where industry leaders will gather to celebrate excellence across the sector.
Based in central West Reading, Rags & Bert’s is an award-winning Doggy Daycare offering a Dog Hotel Stays, Dog Training, and Doggy Day boarding and The Grooming Pod.

Founded by Julia Gorman, the centre was inspired by her own dogs, Rags & Bert, and her desire to create a personal, high-quality space for busy dog owners who want the very best care for their pets.
