Shinfield resident honoured with borough mayor award

A Shinfield resident has been recognised for his dedication to public service after receiving a prestigious mayoral honour from Wokingham Borough Council.
Edward Shaw, who lives in Shinfield, was presented with the borough mayor’s award for outstanding commitment and contribution to public service.
The award recognises individuals who have made an exceptional difference to their local community through sustained service, volunteering or leadership.
Mr Shaw was honoured for his ongoing work supporting the local community and his commitment to helping improve services and opportunities for residents across the borough.

The award was presented as part of the Mayor’s Honour Awards programme, which celebrates residents who go above and beyond to support others and make a positive impact locally. Speaking about the awards, the borough mayor praised the dedication shown by volunteers and community leaders across the area, highlighting the important role they play in strengthening local communities.
